Session 1 focused on seeing the mathematical work of teaching, interpreting student thinking, and considering teaching practices.

Session 2 launches the module’s work on understanding and using representations, focusing on:

• The role and importance of representations in mathematics and in mathematics teaching
• Exploring multiple representations of a particular fraction (¾)
• Using representations to make connections in teaching
