This part of the session launches work on a new mathematics problem, the Three-Coin Problem, which will be used throughout the session. This part supports independent and partner work on the problem.

Key Points

While this is a new problem, there are opportunities to capitalize on and also contrast the work on this problem and the Pool Border Problem from previous sessions.
