STEM: Discovery Catapults into Week 3 [Week 3]

This week we learned to efficiently use materials to minimize our waste. To do this, we learned about a money system that incorporated our previous lessons on states of matter. Students were able to purchase materials as a group to build a catapult. Their first challenge was to design a catapult that would be able to hit the target. The group who hit the target the highest amount of times gained the most amount of points and won the challenge. Their second challenge was to see whose catapult could launch a marshmallow the farthest.
