Geometric-measurement - Session 10: Connecting dimensions of measurement

Part 3: Making connections between units and dimensions of measurement

video of math teacher

Overview

This part involves work on a final measurement task that involves building a cubic decimeter, comparing its volume with the volume of a liter container, and measuring the mass of the cubic decimeter when it is filled with water. Work on this task is the basis for discussion of connections across measurement dimensions, connections between metric measures, measurement error and precision, and key concepts of measurement.
