Overview

This part introduces an activity that will happen throughout the module: the learning from practice protocol for anecdotal notes workshop. The goal of the workshop is to use anecdotal notes to support discussion with colleagues about the mathematics that students demonstrate and how students think about mathematics. A related goal is to discuss differences in students’ thinking. This workshop time will be guided by an “Anecdotal notes workshop protocol.”
