Part 6: Wrap up

video of math teacher

Session Summary

This session focused on the second part of the Learning Trajectory for area measurement—the developmental progression of students’ thinking about area. This session also focused on anecdotal notetaking as a resource for making inferences about students’ thinking. The next session will focus on the third part of the Learning Trajectory for area measurement: instructional tasks.

Key Points

  • The work done as part of the Classroom Connection Activities often serves as the basis for work in subsequent sessions.
