Overview

Session 8 focused on the Learning Trajectory for volume measurement and introduced the levels of the developmental progression for learning volume. This session starts with a brief review of these levels, using video of students’ work on volume measurement tasks.

This session focuses on

  • Using the learning from practice protocol for the anecdotal notes workshop to analyze notes about students’ work on volume assessments
  • Examining instructional activities for teaching volume, including examples along the Learning Trajectory as well as activities from curriculum materials
