Robotics with VEX Builds Bot Bases and Ramp Races [Week 2]

This week it was all about that base in VEX. The class built a ton of stuff – from bot bases to adding second stories to individual bases with wheels. And for those who finished early, a ramming device. Students also combined individual bases to make one solid, fast base and created a simple 4-bar lift system to attach to the base. The class explored daily YouTube VEX videos, learning about bots created by other students around the world, and getting ideas for their own future bots. Other video topics include: drivetrain, chain bar lift – 4-bar and 6-bar – and elevator videos. In the First Challenge of the week, each group raced their base down the ramp for distance and speed.
