This week, the students started their first open projects. Open projects are different than their previous projects because they are not guided by step by step instructions. Instead, students are given an action for the core robot to perform. They learn to program the core to perform the specific action. On Wednesday, students also learned to observe animal traits that determine whether it is classified as a predator or prey. Students were given the option of choosing a core that chomps, wiggles, or pulls. After choosing a core, they designed their robot to look like an animal of their choice.
