ANIMALS IN ART
This week we refined our portfolios and finalized all our work for Thursday’s Ho’ike. Each student has made an area with their sculptures and we have billions of gorgeous drawings and paintings on our walls. Friday had an opportunity to water color outside and enjoy a picnic after the water fun day. Thank you for recognizing your artistic children and letting them build this side of themselves, it has been great.
CREATIVE PROGRAMMING WITH SCRATCH
CREATOR SPACE ADVANCED
We tied up all the loose ends to our projects this week! It was great being able to meet you at open house.
DRAMA: JUST ACT—ACTING GYM
We continued to rehearse our individual scenes and the play throughout this week in preparation for their performance. Thank you to all the family and friends who came to watch the show.
DUNGEONS, DRAGONS, AND TABLE TOP RPGS
In this final week all of our campaign story lines reached a successful conclusion. Now off to the next adventure!
JOURNEY TO THE STARS
This week, our junior scientists made a Solar System mobile structure to commemorate their time of learning all about the Solar System! They also were able to make some yummy s’mores with a solar oven.
MINECRAFT: A VIRTUAL LEARNING ADVENTURE
Students completed their Final Project which is to create a class town utilizing the skills they have garnered in the last five weeks. The Final Project was presented to parents during Open House. When they felt as if they were done with their contributions to the class town, they were able to “freeplay” on Minecraft with friends.
ROBOTICS WITH LEGO WEDO
Our final week began with students building and programming Volcano Alert systems and devices. Next they built a grabber to explore how prosthetic designs help people with disabilities. We finished up by building and programming a moon robot on our last day of class. Thank you to all the parents who joined us for Open House.
ROBOTICS WITH VEX
This week students competed in a mock robotics tournament for points. At Open House, they had a mini awards ceremony to celebrate all their hard work and achievement.
