This week, the students started working on their original country projects by designing their country’s flag and deciding on population size, land area, and GDP. They will finish these projects next week and present them at Open House! The students also engaged in a Nigerian Oil simulation where they became the Nigerian Government, Nigerian Military, the International Monetary Fund, the Shell Company, the Coalition for Women’s Rights, or the Ogoni people. They are discussing and deliberating with each other in hopes of passing a proposal that achieves their organization’s goals.
