Dr. Truc Nguyen and Dr. Lauren Mark from the Learning Technologies unit at CRDG offered a session titled “Me and My Internet Self” at the 2016 TechSavvy Conference on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Hawai‘i Pacific University Hawai‘i Loa Campus.
The Tech Savvy program was founded by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in 2006 to encourage middle school girls to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers. This program helps address the question of why so few women are in STEM fields, by providing young girls and their families with helpful information about college and career preparedness, financial planning, as well as access to local role models who have successful careers in STEM.
