PD module structure
10 Sessions per module
Each module comprises 10 approximately 90-minute sessions that support teachers in developing expertise with integrated knowledge and skills—a readily useable form of professional learning for day-to-day teaching. Each session connects professional development experiences to the teacher’s own classroom work with curriculum and students in meaningful ways.
5–7 Parts per session
Each session includes five to seven parts that organize teachers’ engagement in mathematical problem solving, exploration of student work and other classroom artifacts, and collaborative learning with colleagues. Each session ends with a call to action for teachers to take what they have learned into their classrooms and return to the next session with information and insights.
